Job opportunity: Director of Service Operations

We are currently recruiting for a Director of Service Operations to drive the strategic development and growth of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland’s services.

Acquired Brain Injury Ireland (ABI Ireland) provides community-based rehabilitation services for people living with a brain injury in Ireland. Our mission is to serve, advocate, empower and support people impacted by brain injury to rebuild their lives.

The Director of Service Operations is responsible for implementing the organisation’s strategic objectives within services. The successful candidate will ensure that the culture and values of ABI Ireland are lived through frontline service delivery, in the provision of the highest quality experience for persons served.

The role will drive the strategic development and growth of ABI Ireland’s services in line with the organisation’s Strategic Plan, and have responsibility for ensuring our national, clinically driven neuro-rehabilitation services are delivered to the highest quality standards, in line with regulatory, statutory and financial requirements.

The Director of Service Operations will be a role model in the organisation. They will lead by example through relentless advocacy of our voice, and by partnering with all stakeholders to ensure that service delivery meets the needs of those with an Acquired Brain Injury and their families at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant third level degree
  • Post Graduate Qualification in Management
  • Previous experience of working in the area of acquired brain injury would be an advantage

Experience:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role, with sufficient years at Senior Management level
  • Experience of rehabilitation process and programmes, preferably in brain injury
  • Proven track record of strategy development and delivery at national level
  • Proven track record of negotiating at senior level
  • Previous experience of managing a multidisciplinary team
  • Previous experience of leading and developing senior staff
  • Demonstrated understanding of best practice in rehabilitation services
  • Experience of planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Full driving licence with access to own vehicle
