Job opportunity: Director of Fundraising

We are currently recruiting for a Director of Fundraising to develop and lead out on a fundraising strategy that supports our work as a change-making organisation.

Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides community-based rehabilitation services for people living with a brain injury in Ireland. Our mission is to serve, advocate, empower and support people impacted by brain injury to rebuild their lives.

The Director of Fundraising will be the strategic lead for all aspects of the organisation’s fundraising development and growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting high standards of ethical fundraising and will maintain a culture that is supporter focused, results driven and which encourages growth and innovation. Working as part of the executive management team, the role holder will also be accountable for delivery of the existing strategy.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a focused, dynamic professional with a commitment to collaboration and partnership, excellent relationship and networking skills, and extensive experience of driving income growth in all areas of fundraising.

The role will follow a hybrid work structure, in which the candidate can split time between remote work and attending our National Office, based in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin.

Essential criteria include:

  • Relevant third level qualification
  • Previous experience working at a similar managerial level in a fundraising role
  • A proven track record of delivering fundraising success
  • People management and project management experience
  • Experience in creating and managing a CRM system
  • Excellent influencing and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills including proven experience delivering presentations and producing written fundraising proposals
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the charity sector would be an advantage
